Thanks for visiting my QRZ page!  Name is Will and I'm new to Amateur Radio.

My love for radio communications started when I was a young lad. I have a memory from over 30 years ago...I was playing in the driveway at my Grandma's house.  I had crafted a makeshift miniature satellite dish, wired into an AM radio, and I was pointing it at the Moon while intently spinning the dial.  I'm not sure what I was expecting to hear, but a childhood full of HTs & CB radio followed.

Fast forward to now, recently discovering Ham Radio, and learning that pointing an antenna at the Moon is a reality...I'm smitten by the hobby and amazed at what can be done.

I'm running a 131’ long end fed wire at 20 feet above ground with 100 watts but hope to have a tower up in Summer 2018.  I have been playing with some digital modes (PSK, FT8, Meteor Scatter) and am just starting my journey toward learning CW.  If I worked you on CW, I’m sorry for being slow! I’m only proficient around 7wpm now...and you may have worked me on my Cricket at about 750 mW on 80 meters which is unbelievable!

I also enjoy working on 6 meters with a Par omni angle at 28’

QSL: I use LOTW and am happy to QSL Direct also.
