This Oak Tree held up one end of my 265 ft windom antenna. This end of the antenna has been moved closer to the back.

This is the home of K1KOB, 2600 Hall St SW, Hartselle, Alabama, 35640

All cables come into the shack underground.  There are two 4 foot ground rods under the shack in the dirt and cement.

This is the USSR P150C. It's their version of DXCC.  The three cards are for 200, 250, 300 countries worked.

K1KOB SDR operating position. Equipment is a 17 year old Ten Tec PEGASUS 550, N4PY software runs the PEGASUS, a 7 year old DELL computer with Windows 10 Pro, MixW 3.2.1 software for logging and the digi modes, Heil mike, BTECH UV-2501+220 VHF-UHF FM rig.

This is a 41 year old Cush Craft A3S 3 element beam 10/15/20 up on a 40 ft Rohn tilt over tower.  A YAESU G-450A rotator moves the beam.  A Cush Craft AR-2/70 144mhz & 70cm vertical is at the top, up about 48 ft.  I also run a 265 ft windom 160 - 6 meters.

I've been a HAM since1959, that's 58 years ago !  I'm 74 years "young" now.  Here are licenses that I've held.

11-17-67 as K1KOB, GENERAL CLASS, (13 WPM CW)

05-01-81 as K1KOB, ADVANCED CLASS, (13 WPM CW)

07-14-81 as K1KOB, EXTRA CLASS, (22 WPM CW)

 

I did 20 years in the U.S. Coast Guard and retired in 1982 as a Chief Radioman. Then I did 17 years

Civil Service as a computer operator/supervisor running two UNISYS main frame computers for the

U.S. Navy.  I've been chasing DX for most of my HAM life. My current totals for DXCC are 338 worked

(only need P5 North Korea), with a grand total of 349 entities worked.  I've been chasing awards for a

long time.  Here are some of my top awards:
