Just your average self prepared father of three wonderful children who love spending time with the hobby. My children love spending time in the woods when it rains, snows, or temperatures are way below freezing. I have a great group of friends that enjoy the hobby and are willing to camp in the mountains of North Georgia when it snows.

Several of us became HAM's in the last few years so the spouses could contact us in the mountains where cell phones are not effective, the spouses can make a call to a fellow HAM and contact us, what a great hobby. My only regret is that I had not discovered this hobby years ago.

You may find me in Southern Mississippi, Rabun County in Northeast Georgia on a mountain top, or in the basement taking a break from life chatting with new and old friends. My  children are very interested in the hobby and enjoy time on the radio making contacts around the world with me as the control operator of course. My eleven year old daughter is studying for her ticket, daddy will be so proud when she receives her tech. Working on the middle child Brayden next that is ten.

I run a Yaesu 857-D, Icom 706MKIIG, Yaesu FT-900AT, Kenwood TM-D710a and Icom 880H in the Suburban, and multiple HT's. Currently I have a W5GI Mystery antenna, and a 80 Meter Double Bazooka for field use and NVIS.

At the Camp in South Mississippi just outside Camp Shelby on the river, and in the swamps.

Camping in the mountains of Rabun County in the snow, what great times we have in the freezing cold, snow, and the rain that puts us to sleep.

At the very top of Flat Top Mountain in Rabun County around 4,142 feet above sea level.

Kids practicing NBC warfare around the house after chili Sunday.

A few more of us at basecamp, under a T-10 parachute, keeps the rain and snow out of your kit and gear.
