Please support WRTC2018 which will be held in Germany in July, 2018.  WRTC2018.DE has full info.  If you can attend in person, it is well worth it!

6M has been the focus here recently when there is time for radio.  KW (as of early June 2017) to a 7L JHV at 55'.  See below for a summary of the 6M opening to Japan on June 9, 2017.

Mostly caught up on bureau QSLs now.  All J79FCG cards and 90% of K1TO cards are sent.  I do not yet have blank cards for J70TO or P4/K1TO.  I do eventually answer everyone, so thanks for your patience if you've been waiting for a reply.

In the meantime, C U in the next contest or on 6M!

June 9th, 2017 from 2241-2329Z was a remarkable stretch.  Using JTDX v17.8.0.100 and a 7L beam at 55', 42 different JAs were decoded.  For perspective, I have listened on 6M heavily starting in June 2013 and copied a grand total of two JAs ever.  Four days earlier, on June 5, I copied JA7QVI at two different intervals more than three hours apart which made that my best JA opening in 4+ years of listening.  The table below is sorted by signal peak, -1 being the loudest report that JTDX reports.  It is generally believed that signals better than -10 are copiable on CW, but I tried CW 4-5 times that evening and heard no JAs at all.  I was transmitting on the even minutes, so there were 25 sequences on the odd minutes.  JH4UYB was copied 80% of the time.  All call areas except JA5 were heard.  Other USA areas had a longer opening.
