Active on 80 Meters (3827 & 3995 LSB), and D-Star as time allows. I operate a full time simplex D-Star hotspot (K1WIZ C) in the town of North Attleboro, MA on 145.600MHz. If you are in town and on d-star, you can feel free to make use of this system as it is intended to be open to all hams. K1WIZ C is reflector agile, meaning it can be dialed to any reflector world-wide. The default home reflector is REF050 C (with links in the New England US region). When the hotspot is idle, it will automatically rehome to this reflector.
I am the developer of the total turn-key D-Star Hotspot known as the D-SPOT. The D-Spot is the ultimate in mobile convenience and reliability. For more information, please see my shop listing to find out more about D-Spot. If you are a D-Star operator, you will love the conveniences my solution provides: http://wizworks.net/shop
On D-Star, I can be found on Reflectors: REF050 C, REF001 C.
I have also built a completely home brew D-Star hotspot inside a military ammunition can, this unit can connect by AC/DC, 4G, WiFi, or Wired ethernet for the ultimate in flexibility:
My personal website, which is a showcase of my many technology projects is http://wizworks.net
I am also the original founder of the Pirate Ship (95.1FM) pirate station at NEAR Fest. The best way I can describe NEAR Fest is like a "frat party" for Hams. Check us out at http://near-fest.com and come join us! Nearfest is attended by hams from all over the US & Canada. It is best enjoyed as a camp-over experience and even when the sun goes down, the "Ham Jam" heats up and rocks all night.
I am a father of 2 beautiful girls & a cyber security field engineer for Lockheed Martin Coporation. During my spare time I enjoy doing things with my family & playing radio whenever and wherever.
I enjoy traveling to Asia & camping here at home.
