ALOHA!

Thanks for stopping by my QRZ.com page. I'm located on the Big Island of Hawaii also known as the island of Hawaii, not to be confused with the state of Hawaii which, of course, encompasses the island of Hawaii and several others (got it!).

If we've had an SSB contact, you heard my ICOM IC-7600, IC2KL amplifier with the matching AT-500 tuner and an NA4RR Hex Beam on 20-6,(Six? Who am I kidding, I've never heard a station on 6!) or the EFHW 80-10 half wave antenna on 40, 30, 60 or 80 meters. If we've had a digital contact, you heard the Icom IC-7300.  I do not run QRP. After all, this is a pretty remote place.

Lot's of people send emails for JT65 and JT9 skeds and I am happy to oblige.

LOTW and EQSL are uploaded about weekly. QSL direct with SASE.   Bureau QSL's are not reciprocated. QRZ.com confirmations are by request only. Please email if you would like a QRZ.com confirmation.

The photo on the QSL is of the Kilauea Volcano lava flow about 30 kilometers south of my QTH. I was within 500 feet of the flow when the photo was taken in February, 2017. It was an incredible experience.

73,  Mahalo (Thanks!)

Gus (please try not to call me Gustave!)
