The Cape Fear Amateur Radio Society (CFARS) is a group of active hams from Cumberland and surrounding North Carolina counties. CFARS members are active in DXing, contesting, Summits On The Air (SOTA), QRP, public service and emergency communications, among others.

Meetings are on the third Monday of each month, at Methodist University, 5400 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28311. Please check the “Meeting Info” tab on our website WWW.CFARSNC.org for meeting location and program information. Meetings are open to anyone with an interest in amateur radio and you do not need to be a licensed amateur to attend.

CFARS operates the following repeaters:

  • K4MN: 146.91/146.31 MHz (100 PL)
  • WA4FLR: 147.33/147.91 MHz (100 PL)
  • K4MN: 444.400/449.400 MHz (100 PL)
  • W4EBM: 53.810/52.810 MHZ

Please join CFARS members in a nightly net at 7:00 PM local time on the 146.91 repeater.

CFARS members enjoy participating in the ARRL Field Day every June. We operate 2A with one SSB station and one CW station.
