I was licensed in 1995 and upgraded to Extra in 2001.  Our station consists of an Icom 756 Pro III HF radio with a PW-1 amplifier and a PalStar BT-1500A balanced line tuner. We have an 80 meter and 40 meter balanced line antennas along with a HexBeam HX-5Bi for 10, 12, 15, 17, and 20 meters, which is mounted on a 50' Aluma tower with a rotor.. Our UHF/VHF rig is a Kenwood TM-G707A 2m/440 dual band radio with a Ringo Ranger dual band antenna.

We enjoy emergency communications and work with Chatham Emergency Management Agency, Memorial Health University Medical Center.  We are also the QSL Manager for WW2COS, which is the club call for the club station at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force, located in Pooler Georgia.  The club activates the B-17G "City of Savannah" 10 to 12 times a year to honor our Veterans both living and deceased.
