I started out in Amateur Radio in 1993 as a No Code Tech. I upgraded to Extra Class under the old rules in 1996. I am basically a CW operator on all bands, including 6M and 160M. I operate a Kenwood TS-570S with an Ameritron 1000 watt amplifier, fed into an off centered dipole antenna 30 feet high. I use a Kenwood TM-V7 dual bander radio also. I am also DSTAR capable now. I received my ARRL Worked All States Award in October 2009, and my DXCC/CW Award in 2014 I am a ARRL Life Member. I am a 25 year law enforcement officer, honorably retiring from the Tupelo Police Dept in Tupelo Mississippi in 2003. I currently reside in Vernon Alabama, where I am semi-retired. I currently pastor Ebenezer United Methodist Church outside Vernon, in southern Lamar County. I am also an avid deer hunter, and still enjoy rifle and pistol target shooting. I still keep my yearly police handgun qualification current.

Due to high cost, I no longer QSL through the Bureau. However, if you need my QSL card, send it Direct and SACE to my mailing address and I will be happy to send my QSL card to you.
