First licensed as a novice at 11 years old in the early 70's, WN6DUU. I had my novice ticket again sometime in the early 80's and was active for about a year, I don't remember the callsign! :)  Retired from the Ventura County Fire Department after a full career of firefighing, which included being loaned out as an Incident Communications Unit Leader.  I was assigned to a National Incident Command Team from 2001-2005 (CIIMT4) and worked with many other state and federal teams until 2008. I worked many major wildland fires in almost all of the western states, and also Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Wilma, along with a month spent in East Texas for the Columbia Space Shuttle Recovery. 13 states total. Very challenging and gratifying communications work, indeed! I obtained my General license in May 2015.

I appreciate all confirmations of QSOs, Thank you!
