I am the QSL Manager for K7UGA.

I was first licensed in 1957 (KN7BHM) at the age of 13 (8th grade), in Phoenix, Arizona.  I upgraded through Technician, General, Advanced and received my EXTRA Class (20 WPM) in 1982.  I attanded High School at Brophy College Prep in Phoenix, and graduated from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ, with a BS in Mathematics, in 1966.  I persued an MSEE and MBA, and received an M.Ed, all from Arizona State University.  I retired in 2008 with over 40 years in the Electronics and Aerospace Industries in the greater Phoenix area.  Most recent career was with Orbital Sciences ATK in Chandler, AZ, as a Principal Mechanical Engineeer.

I am a charter member of the Central Arizona DX Association, (K7UGA) founded in 1975, and a life member of the QCWA, and hold memberships with the SADXA, AOCC and ARRL; and hold SKCC # 444.  My involvement with amateur radio includes being the Chair of the 2004 ARRL Southwestern Division Convention held in Phoenix, and have been the Program Chair for the International DX Convention, held in Visalia, CA, for 8 years between 2004 and 2015.  I'm married to my wife Gerri for 50 years, have 3 children , 7 grandchildren, and one Great Grandson; (unfortunately none are hams).

My current station consists of an IC-756PRO, TS-480HX, Ameritron AL800 amp for 10-160 meters.  My antennas include a TH7DXX at 50 ft, 6 elements on 6 Meters at 60 ft. and a rotatable triband dipole for 30, 17, and 12 meters at 55 ft.  Also, fixed dipoles for 160, 80 and 40 Meters with apex at 48 ft.

I've been chasing DX nearly all of my amateur life and I'm currently on the Honor Roll with 337/354 mixed totals. (Need 3Y/Bouvet and P5/No. Korea).  I have WAS on 6 Meters and am nearing completion of 9 Band DXCC (160 - 10).

I hope to see you on the air again soon...................Bob - K7BHM
