I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1964 with a B.S. E. E. and received my MBA in 1965. In 1977 Judy Satchwill (a Cincinnati native and UC grad) and I were married. We have three sons: Jeff, Steve, and Doug. Jeff, an industrial engineer, lives in Parker, Colorado, and works in the computer industry. He plays drums and bass in a  band and has one daughter, Alexandria. Steve is married to Kristal, and they have two children, Tyler and Kayla. Steve did a short stint in the rock music business but now owns two companies (in the cellular business) and lives in Parker, Colorado. Doug is a mechanical engineer with MBA and works in the computer industry. He lives in Broomfield, Colorado, with his wife Tricia and new sons Graydon Thomas age 1, and Soren Frederick born on August 2, 2010 and daughter Clara Francis born April 2013.

I retired after 34 years with Hewlett Packard in various senior management positions and have traveled extensively worldwide. Judy retired several years ago after being with Proctor and Gamble for more than 18 years. Together and separately, we have lots of hobbies and interests. Judy’s an artist and has created many watercolors in her studio. She’s also an avid golfer at Bel-Wood Country Club and is involved with several leagues. One of our joint interests is genealogy, and Judy is a member of the Mayflower Society. I like golfing, collecting historic firearms and “O” scale trains, restoring farm machinery and antique electronics, vintage cars - '60 Corvette (NCRS National Corvette Restorers Society Queen City Chapter & National) making multimedia videos for family and friends, and I continue to be involved with amateur radio, a hobby of over 60 years (1954).. My favorite area of amateur radio is currently amateur satellites and I am a member of AMSAT. I also have an avid interest in Radio Astronomy, currently a member of SARA (Society of Radio Amateur Astronomers. Together, Judy and I collect a variety of antiques; go camping, hiking, and fly fishing; and share interests in biking, photography and astronomy (One of the founding Directors of WCAS Warren County Astronomical Society), board member Warren County Foundation Observatory Fund, and staff member Camp Joy (camp for inner city kids). For the past nine years, I have been a park commissioner and am the current president of the Warren County Park Board, (member OPRA Ohio Parks & Recreation Association) and also have served on the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering Advisory Board, Warren County Career Center advisory board and Warren County Citizens Advisory Committee (I-75 Area Plan). Judy is the current president of the Friends of the Warren County Park District, a community outreach group. We are both currently involved in building an "Observatory" to house a large telescope in one of our parks.
