Hello Everyone!

I was licensed in 1979 with my original callsign KA4KOE. I am a Professional Electrical Engineer and have been practicing under my license in the state of Georgia since 1999. I work for our fine men and women of the 3rd Infantry Division (Mechanized) at the Directorate of Public Works, Ft. Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield in my capacity as senior electrical engineer. Look for my articles Green Radio Roundup in the April 2006 issue of QST and Tacoma Truck-Tenna in the October 2012 issue of CQ Magazine. I enjoy building and playing theremins! See the links:

I also enjoy CW, restoring boatanchors, and classic AM operating on 160-10 meters. I currently use a substantially-repaired Johnson Valiant and a Collins R390 (Howard Mills) when running classic AM. The modern side of the station consists of a Flex 6300/Maestro driving a QRO HF2500DX.

My big project to end all projects is the restoration of a Bauer 707 AM transmitter. It is working on its original design frequency of 1490 KC, formerly WXPE, Starke, Florida. I will eventually place this beast on 160/80/40m AM.

In other news....I was working on a design project to rework and redo the electrical systems on an old Company Operations building here at Ft. Stewart in order to convert it to a new museum for the division. While talking with the museum director, Mr. Buck Meeks, he noticed old photographs of my father, Craig Neidlinger, on the shelf. He was wearing his WW2 uniform while serving with the 3rd Infantry Division in Anzio and other campaigns. One thing led to another...the end result was that Buck decided to build an exhibit on my father. The museum will reopen November 16, 2017. The entire family is very excited about this news. Pop passed in 2010 and is greatly missed by his children and friends. The following is a video that will play on continuous loop for new soldiers and other visitors to Ft. Stewart. My sister Lisa, and brothers Eric KK4TVR and Craig, Jr. are also in this video.

ROCK OF THE MARNE!
