Originally licensed in 1979 as WL7AGN as a Novice. Upgraded and received KL7JS. Ran many Traffic Nets on 14.292 until leaving for Michigan. There, I was almost exclusively RTTY and CW. While stationed in Japan, the FCC would not relicense without a stateside address. I let the license lapse until the bug got me again in 2003. I had to retest my Gen Class, and upgraded to Extra in 2007. Currently active in all digital modes. Completed ARRL Emergency Courses 1, 2, 3 and EC-016 the EC Managers course. Completed all IC courses 100, 100H, 200, 400, 700, 703, 800, and all Homeland Security courses. My Wife (KB5AGW) and I have a 5th wheel camper which we lived in for 9 years while I was stationed at Camp Shelby, MS.  We have brought it home for a complete refurbishing which is now completed. Equipment is  Kenwood TS-2000X, B-2000, TS-50, TS-480HX Yaesu FT 857D, FT 817ND.  Including my first radio the TS-820S from 1979. Currently working on setting up an 800+ foot loop.  I have 2 legs ready, a third leg almost ready, and am trying to figure out what to do for the 4th leg.  Probably a push up mast.  I have added an awsome KLM KT-34A M2 on a 40 ft crank up mast, and a Gap Challenger DX.  Also working on a 5 band spiderbeam and get it back up in the air.  Currently working off a homebrew OCFD 232 ft long for 40 and 80 meters, with the KLM handling 10, 15 and 20.  UPDATE:  As of 26 March 2016, the 800' loop is still just an idea.  I still have 3 legs up and have 1000' of antenna wire but, I have been sidetracked working on our K5TAL Post 1992 American Legion Amateur Radio Club Emergency Trailers.  I have also become Mississippi Official Relay Station and am the proud owner of an SCS PTC-IIe modem capable of PACTOR 3.  Wow, is that fast.  What used to take almost 3 minutes to connect with the Central AreaTexas Relay Station, send a request (or traffic) and download any waiting messages, now takes 40 to 45 seconds.  I have also pulled out my Collins gear, 32S-1, 75S-1, 312-B4, and 516-F2.  I am going to rebuild/restore all of the Collins gear, and will start with the 516-F2 which will get a new Transformer and complete replacement of wiring both of which I have.  Then, will work on the 312-B4 doing the same with the wiring.

ARRL MEMBER, EPC #125, DMC #059, FELD HELL #981, 30 M DIGITAL #680, ARCI #14060, SMIRK #6889, OMISS #9512

Thanks for looking.
