As an ardent shortwave listener in the early 70's at the tale end of cycle 20, I became intrigued with Amatuer Radio. On March 15th 1980, I recieved my novice liscence and callsign KA5HVO. One month later I went to Dallas TX to take and pass my test to upgrade to General class. 4 years later, I upgraded to Advanced and recieved my new call KE5SM.
