I use the nickname " Duff " on the air.

Right now I'm running a YAESU Ftdx 1200 with a MAXCON OCF Windom, Heil PR40 and stock 100 watts.  I also run an Echolink Node at 185046 and run it with a Kenwood V71A which is an incredible tool for Echolink.  I have it on some evenings but mostly weekends so feel free to connect.  I run the node locally on 147.570 / 114.8 CTCSS. In the mobile it's an Icom ID5100.  Diving in to D-STAR and having a lot of fun.  Icom ID51a HT and YES I am a victim of the Baofeng craze and love my UV82C. You can find me hovering around 75 meters evenings.  I've met a lot of great people on HF and continue to make new friends all over the world ESPECIALLY the folks on Southcars VOIP nets which I'm a proud NCS on occassion now.  Check in to *SCARS* on Echolink if you get a chance.  GREAT people to be associated with!  Special thanks to Gordon, KY6V and Kathy, K6SUN for being such great Ham Operators and 2 of the folks that do a LOT of work for amateur radio!  I'm in a small town in Northern Wisconsin about 1 hour straight north of Wausau, Wisconsin.  I've been in radio broadcasting for 40 years now.   I also do voiceover work.  I've been a ham for about 30 years. The difference between my career and ham radio?  It's nice to get on the ham bands and actually have someone answer me when I release the mic!  73 and thanks for reading.  Although I have a very busy life at work and beyond I'm trying to devote a little more time to the fun things in life like Ham Radio. Hope to talk to you on HF, Echolink, D-STAR soon.
