First licensed in 1988 after several years of wanting to take the time to get my code speed up enough to pass the Novice Exam.  Had been first exposed to Amateur Radio by one of my electronics professors in under-grad college.  He kept a station active on campus and it always intrigued me.  After under-graduate school and getting going in the real world, I became friends with a local Ham who continued to work on me getting my ticket.  Became very active in the 1980's, upgraded the code speed to 13wpm so I could get my General License in 1990 and started the antenna farm at this QTH.  Along came family and work and everything else and Ham Radio took a back seat for many years.  Then last winter, dusted off the equipment, set everything back up, worked on the antennas some and here I am, having a blast with much more time to enjoy the hobby.  Active on the local 2m Repeater (where I am the trustee), 75M Kansas Weather Net (was the Sunday morning Net Control operator in the early 90s) and now really having fun with PSK31.
