Thanks for looking me up! I got my license back in 1994 as a Technician, upgraded to Tech plus and then General. Joined a local club right away but after 6 years of club in-fighting, politics and cliques I left and couldn't be happier.

My first real ham radio thrill came when I made packet contacts with the Russian space station Mir and a shuttle mission. Then the BIG thrill when I talked to astronaut John Blaha on Mir on 1/4/1997 for about a minute and 17 seconds. I was like a little kid I was so thrilled! I've also made 1 packet contact with the ISS.

I enjoy some local 2 meter simplex rag chewing but now a days mainly HF. Trying to get back into CW, I'm working on getting my speed back up again. I can be found on that great new mode FT8 mainly on 20 and 40 meters and occasionally 30m.

Rigs are a Elecraft KX2, Kenwood 450S, an Icom 706mkII and a Youkits HB-1B mk 3. HF antenna is a 8010p Myantenna end fed. Diamond 510 for 2m and a Cushcraft AR-10 for 10m.

I QSL via snail mail or eQSL only. I don't do LoTW as I don't care about "awards".

73 and thanks again!
