Hello and Welcome to my QRZ.
I have been into radio in one way or another since I nine years of age. Started with then Lic. CB.
And had talked all over the world when the 11 meter band would allow
(OH the day of waiting for a band opening). Then I was interduced to Ham radio in Rhinelander,WI
in the early 90's. WOW, I liked what I saw and wanted some of it. But then my job moved me and
I had to put it on the back burner. A few years later hook up with another ham in the new area River Falls,WI.
The bug bit me again and i went for it.
WOW I didn't think I would get this hooked, But here I am A Extra Class,
Owner of a few repeater's, working with local law inforcement and talking all over the world
and I don't have to wait for that one band opening to come around,
I all I need to do is tune up on the wright band. To my fellow ham I say thank you
and go for it, the sky is not the limit, Go moon bounce or satellite's that are at our mercy.
If your not a ham yet, Go for it. You can do it and there are a lot of Amature Radio Operator's
in your area that are willing to help you get started.
Note To Hams OPs That I have made contact with, I ask that you confirm the contact.
I have a lot of unconfirmed in my list. I take the time to put them there
Not just for me to see if we had made contact in the past, ButI also have a link from my other site's
(Non Ham related) in hopes to get a non-ham that might be interested to take the plung into this great hobby
of ours, See where I have made contact. Please support you local ham clubs / groups. Thank You. James
