Licensed in '96, I finally upgraded to General 5/16/2011.I have been married for over 20 years,a son and daughter, 3 cats. I am an air ambulance Flight Coordinatr by trade, and have just started the new career. Prior to thisjob I was a 9-1-1 dispatcher for 20 years.
Modes I use are: PSK31, JT65 HF and D-Star, DMR
Station info: Kenwood TS-2000 with a G5RV Jr. mounted in my attic about 20 ft up. My interface is a RigBlaster Plug and Play. For my D-Star set up, I have an ICOM ID51A Plus Anniversary Edition running a Raspberry Pi 2 with Raspbian image and DVAPTool with the Internet Labs DVAP 70cm. I use a 3000maH battery to power the Pi and have gotten 6 hours of continuous use. I have jumped into DMR and am really enjoying it!
The software I am using for JT65-HF is (c)2008...2011 by Joe Large W6CQZ. All this software is run under Windows10. The QSL information: I use LoTW, and eQSL, plus QRZ. I upload the info as soon as I make a contact. If you prefer paper, please let me know. I am also in the process of adding contacts to my log here on QRZ.
My wife and I are avid cyclists, looking for the longest distance yet. I ride in the National MS Society's Tour de Farms in DeKalb County Illinois.
