I have been active in radio since the day I joined the U.S. navy in 1976 but did not receive my license until 1990. I was involved in the Navy Marine Corps MARS program before my transition to amateur radio.  I am still very active in the MARS program, Now Air Force MARS. I retired in 1996 after 21 years of service, thank god for the one year inactive duty!!!

I am a VE for the W9RH (Milwaukee Radio Amateur’s club). My favorite band is the 10 meter band, active as a 10-10 member. I am also very active on the DSTAR system, VHF repeater systems and propagation. I work stations as a maritime mobile when going out diving as Time permits. My job in the navy was as an electronics technician and communications specialist. I was an operator at the special event station in Pearl Harbor for the 50th anniversary of Pearl Harbor. My passion is digital voice, I am on DSTAR, you can find me on any DSTAR repeater, i travel around, and look for more DSTAR repeaters on my travels. I also like DMR and you will find me there as well.

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in December 2011, with a major in Political Science and a minor in History. I am currently working as a Telecommunication Technician.
