ARES Emergency communications is one area that attracted me to Amateur Radio. I also enjoy people and helping others whenever possible. Public service communications is one way we can all get involved.

An old friend from mine, Jim-KD7DPW from my hometown Sacramento, CA located me after about 14 years. He showed me EchoLink and now I am hooked. He opened my mind to another form of communication in our hobby. You can talk around the world via your laptop or hook up your radio with your laptop. Now old friends can renew their relationship and this opens up a worldwide opportunity for our great hobby of Amateur Radio!

Currently, I serve as a Net Control Station for the District 1 ARES Net, every Tuesday evening from 7:30-8:00PM PST on the linked repeater tro, 147.320, 147.040 and 442.325 all having a Pl tone of 100 on the ARRG (Amateur Radio Relay Group) repeater system. For a complete list of their fine repeater system, please visit www.arrg.org.

Join our Linix User Net every thursday from 8:10PM-9:00PM on the ARRG linked repeaters; 147.320, 147.040 and 442.325 and via Echilink, node #937718.

Please note: my Webpage is in progess of getting a much needed facelift. I have plans to start working on the site again soon.
