Ham Member Lookups: 1438

I was first licensed in 1971 as WN7SXK, growing up in Medford, OR. My dad was an early southern Oregon pilot, Army Air Corp Combat Pilot, Air Force Reserve Pilot, and ham radio Operator, W7QQP, and we talked back and forth on 40m 2 or 3 times a week while he was away working for PP&L over in Wyoming. That really works for increasing your cw speed. I tried for the General but coud'nt pass the written back then, but could copy and send 20wpm. So ham radio was put on the back burner untill 1996 when I got my Tech plus, my general in 1997, then later my advanced, then my extra.

In the pictures you'll see my Icom 746 and 706 mkII. I have a nice view out my station window, mostly trees and mountains. I'm running an 80m full wave loopjust up 20' ( 4.5) meters, in my backyard, with a maximum of 100 W. of power. My other interests include flying ( I hold commercial, multi-engine,instrument ratings with 3100+ hrs flight time logged), fishing, c-c and downhill skiing, hunting, ATV and horse riding, gold prospecting. I live in the mountains outside of Lebanon, OR, in a small town called Sodaville. Do a Facebook search / Scott Davis Sodaville OR
