A little about myself.
I am a volunteer firefighter for Liberty TWP Fire. I have been in the EMS service for about 13 years. This has fueled an interest in radio that I have had since I was 16 .I had the GREAT oppertunnity to serve in the United States Marine Corps. I am a scout leader for Troop 928 and Pack 986, both out of Chesterton Indiana. In scouts I am also a Radio Merit Badge counler, with hopes of getting more young people involved in our great hobby.
I decided to get my license when I was 26. I passed the General Class test in 2009. My QTH started off with an Icom IC-V8 HT. It has grown since then. I now have a Icom 706MKGII, which is set up for an echolink node. I operate PSK31 with a NUE-PSK digital modem, which has been an extreamly exciting project. I have a Uniden Bearcat BCD996T scanner that I love. I have had it for a few years now and am still learning what all it can do.
In my mobile, I have an Icom IC-2820H deul band radio with DSTAR, Icom F-5061 VHF commercial band radio, and a Cobra 40 channel CB. My mobile is decked out with blue lights and ready for when stuff hits the fan.
I am an NWS weather spotter.
Well thats realy all there is to me. If you wish to know more, find me on the radio. I nomally operate on the K9PC repeater out of Valparaiso.
