Since my beginnings in amateur radio I have had some amazing experiences. I have gone from Tech to Extra. My main purpose of becoming Extra was to become a VE. I love to volunteer and what a fabulous opportunity to experience the pure excitement when someone passes or upgrades their liscense. I belong to several Clubs, some as a financial support, others to become more involved on a regular basis. Thru my early days of volunteering, I had a desire to run as Activities Manager for our local repeater club. After serving on the board for two years I decided to take a run at Club President. I ran unopposed, as did all other positions, and became President of The Milwaukee Repeater Club. (MRC91.org) Prior to this I was elected twice as President of the South Milwaukee Amateur Radio Club WA9TXE. This is a small, but growing club. Although an Extra, I will be the first to admit, I do not have much technical knowledge, however I listen, ask and attend as many classes and seminars as possible. My HF work is a little limited in my apartment, but always working on my options. Have enjoyed National Pareks on the Air, Winter Field Day as well as organizing the MRC91 Field Day the past two years. I participate in our local "Pink Hamsters" net on Sunday nights. This is a National Organization and I belong to the Wisconsin Chapter,. It is a net for YL's and third party traffic is encouraged. Check them out on Facebook. Wrapping up here I would like to thank my brother Fred KC9PXP for inviting me in to a meeting he was attending after we went out to eat. That night I joined the Miller Valley Amateur Radio Club, and had no idea what I was in for. Met the most amazing group of people with the most diverse backgrounds and knowledge I'd ever been engaged with.!!! So I believe I was liscensed in Oct of 2012 and I pray I have many great year ahead to enjoy this hobby. 73/88 Hope to see you "Down the Log"

PS: Soon I will figure out how to make this Photo smaller...
