I am KC9WWH, and my friends call me Rosko. I was born in '87 in Black River Falls, WI and lived in a near by town called Hixton. There I attended Hixton Elementary in the last few years before it was closed. During Middle School and High School I went to Black River Falls where I started my interested in broadcast radio and audio/visual. During High School I worked for the school district on the network team doing everything from server installs to building pc images and deploying them.

In 2005 I graduated H.S. and moved to Sun Prairie, WI where I attended Herzing College (now Herzing University) until I got my B.S. in Technology Mangement. During this time I also started at U.S. Cellular where I got my first interest into the true operation of how RF and the technology behind it works. I later moved to Valentine, NE where I got my experience as a Cellular Technician working on our cell sites. While in Valentine, NE I also joined the local Fire Department and Ambulance Service. In 2010 I moved back to WI and settled down in Southwestern WI through a promotion to Network Field Engineer. I am now an Apple Systems & Mobile Device Administrator at Lands' End, Inc where I am the primary point of contact for our Apple and Mobile Device Infrastructure.

With my move back to WI I also joined the local resuce squad which is where I started to get my first experience of amateur radio at the annual Muskets & Memories in Boscobel, WI. Here I got to make some new friends whom were also in Fire & EMS, but also amateur radio. You always see amateur radio on TV in the older movies or ones like Frequency, but I never really believed it was truley alive today with all the technology that has come around, but this is where I started to get the desire to dig further and further into the field.

In 2012 I finally took the test to get my Technician license (so yes, I am pretty new), but the desire to do more and more keeps growing. In the August 2013 I was able to take the General exam and successfully passed! With that came some upgrades to my ham shack as well :)

Below is a couple pictures of my current setup.

My car is an '08 Chevy HHR and I currently have a Vertex Standard VX-3200 & a Yaesu FTM-10R/E.
In the house I have several HT's now, both 2 meter and dual-band as well as a Kendood TM-733a (2meter/70cm), Yaesu FT-817, Astron RS-20A PSU and MFJ-945E HF Tuner. Also, currently on loan from my club is the Kenwood TS-140S.

And here is a pic of my latest QSL card...
