Interested in Ham Radio nearly all my life and got licensed in November, 2009. Upgraded to General class in March, 2010. Finally upgraded to Extra class in May, 2016.

My equipment consists of a Kenwood TS-2000, Amp Supply LA-1000 and a Palstar AT2KD tuner. Rig control via HRD.

Out in the garage shack I use an Icom IC-718 and a Kenwood TM-D700. The garage station is 100% solar powered.

Antennas consist of fan dipole, 2m beam, J pole, ground plane, vertical and whatever else I feel like throwing in the air, depending on band openings.

I love to contest and have some pretty good results in state QSO parties and even in some of the more international contests. Not bad for a peanut whistle station.

I love the hobby and have several family members who have become licensed operators. 73 all.
