Thanks for visiting KD2ECG...

My first radio insipred me... a crystal reciever .... producing music out of thin air with NO power source, built with my ever- loving Grandpa, "Peeps". My interest in electronics grew... building kits from Dynaco and Heathkit, projects from Popular Electronics and reading the Lafayette Radio catalog cover to cover,  I played on CB in its day.

I got my general license,  in May of 2013, and using an HT worked  the local repeaters. A Diamond X300A antenna was soon installed on the roof for a Kenwood TM-V71.

Repeaters galore opened up. Ham friends,  (http://www.splitrockara.org ) helped "slingshot" a 135' Buckmaster 7-band, off-center fed wire dipole into the trees....... to feed  a Kenwood TS-590 in May 2014.... the HF world opened up ............................................................................................................................................................

February 2015 added an Elecraft KPA- 500 amplifier.

Ham radio interests are: rag chewing, Dx-ing, PSK, and learning. Other interests include, music and recording, flute, photography, boating, scuba diving, CT guided dental implant surgery, practicing dentistry,(www.DrSDenholtz.com) and most of all, my wife and 3 children.

Thanks for visiting !Hope to QSO with you soon.

Albert Einstein, explaining how radio works: You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat.
