Scott Carullo

QTH = Rockledge Florida, which is about 15 miles SW of Kennedy Space Center.

A obtained my Tech Plus ticket in 1992 while attending college at University of Central Florida since I was on the road a lot and started one of the first wireless ISPs in Central Florida.  Worked a little CW and enjoyed it, but mostly 2 meters and 70 cm while in the mobile.  Had some DX fun too with my twin 11 element beams at 80ft in Merritt Island where I grew up.  Now I have my general ticket after a long break in ham radio (you know, life, family, work etc took over for a while).  Been having lots of fun working HF.  Learning more about geography and history talking to lots of awesome hams from around the workd than I did in school.

My station consist of an Icom 7610 which I run about 40w out of.  That drives my Palstar LA-1K solid state amp usually just under a kilowatt.  Then its out of there into my Palstar HF-Auto Tuner and out to one of my two antennas.  I have 40m & 80m double bazooka antennas up about 40 feet.  For 20m, 17m, 15m, 12m and 10m I use my DX Engineering Hexx Beam which is up about 50 feet on a Rohn 25 tower.  I have a 6m dipole I made that I am testing but not a lot of luck yet.  I use a Heil Pro IC headset with the PTT trigger for audio.

Hobbies include (in no particular order) Amateur Radio, Hunting, Fishing, Shooting, Diving and Wending/Metal Fabrication..  I have a 28ft Contender I fish with in the ocean off the coast here in the Atlantic, an Airboat with a Lycoming aircraft engine I play out in the swap in (water not necessary), and a couple other small boats for shallow fishing.  As far as hunting I mostly Bow hunt.  I'm in the Hoyt camp, I have a carbon spyder at 65ld draw.  We spend some time each year killing deer and hogs & gigging frogs - good times.  I weld mostly aluminum (HTP 220 TIG) making mounts for work but I also do steel regularly.  Have fun making antennas I design based on online calculators.

Well, thats enough for now, thanks for checking me out.  73s
