Hiya! Thanks for stopping by!

I am a 2016 graduate of Western Illinois University with a degree in emergency management. I've been a SKYWARN spotter since 2012, and local EMA volunteer since 2017. Technician since July 2016, and General since January 2018. I mostly work the local repeaters, although since I got my general I've enjoyed working on the few bands my HF antenna will tune to and listening on the ones it won't. I'm hoping to get a vertical that will let me get down to at least 20 and hopefully lower here in the next month or so (I don't really have the horizonal or vertical room for a wire. Someday!). Currently, I mostly tune around on 17 although 10 will always have a special place in my heart. Working 10 meters as a Tech got me hooked on DXing, and I always enjoy going back "home" when the band is open.

I also have a great interest in broadcast DX, particularly AM, although I also follow FM and TV. I also tune around on shortwave from time to time. Non radio related, I currently am a tennis teacher through a couple local park districts and also enjoy hockey, football, and baseball (in that order). I also enjoy NASCAR (2017 fantasy racing pool champion!) and racing in general, and I also appreciate the number of races that are accompanied by special event stations.

QSL Note: I QSL 100% to nearly anything I recieve direct or by eQSL. I finally have physical cards printed, although I'm on a budget and they're not the highest quality card you will receive. Because I'm on a budget, SASEs are VERY much appreciated for direct. I will not send out cards for repeater contacts, but I will respond to them if I get them. That is also just a rule and I'm subject to break it if I want to! I don't check eQSL very often, so the fastest way to get a response is direct. Thanks!
