Ok, I know I have relocated to Lake Havasu City, Arizona but I think for right now, I will keep these "Utah" links available.

In the next few months, I will be adding and updating information here for the Mohave County, AZ area as well.

Utah Fire Information.........Great site for Utah State fire maps!!

A little about me.............as of June 1, 2009:

I built my first CB radio from an Allied Knight Kit in 1967. My life centered around Electronics and Computer Science in a career for 35 years. Now, just enjoying the fruits of retirement and a renewed interest and excitement in Radio!

My Base radio is a Kenwood TS2000 (May 26, 2009). It seems the radio with a Heil Dual Traveler headset (desk mic retired) is doing great for now. Reports from many contacts near and far have confirmed it's performance. I'm happy!

I have 3 dual band antennas in use at my home in Monroe.

I have a Diamond V2000 that is connected to the equipment in my basement. (Antenna on right side of photo fastened to Garage peak)
I have a Diamond X50 that is used for the radio in my office. (Antenna on left side of photo)
I have a Diamond X30 that I have set up on a tri-pod, (antenna mast is only 6ft high, antenna about 4ft tall), arrangement for emergencies and portability.

A Carolina Windham 80 went into service as my primary HF antenna on June 9, 2009. It is flat-top at 36ft in height. Initial feedback is very positive so far. No pictures yet, can't seem to get 35ft tall poles separated by 140ft of distance to show up very well!
