Ham Member Lookups: 2470

New call as of 8-18-2017:  NO0I

Thank you for your contact or lookup.

I am retired from Sprint and Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Co. both in the Kansas City area. My career is in IT - computing, project management, analysis and systems development.

I love all things Ham radio, especially CW.  In 1969 I joined the Navy and was trained as a Communications Tech (CTR2).  I copied Russian morse encrypted messages (of course!) using the fantastic Collins R390a - what a great radio that was!  I am a member of Central Missouri Radio Association and Boone County Amateur Radio Service (BCARES).  You may contact me anytime.  SKCC #11013.

The image in the above right is a wood engraving of Samuel F.B. Morse that I found.

You'll likely find me on 40, 30 and 20 in the CW portion(s) looking for a new country/prefix or wanting to QSO with you.  My current station is an oldie-but-goodie FT-890 at 75 watts and an end-fed multi-band wire sloper from 22 feet high at the top.   Working on digital operation in 2017.

73, John / KF5KI - Columbia, MO.
