My interest in Amature Radio developed from my childhood grewing up in a small town in Tangiphoa Parish Louisiana, USA, the town of Independence. As a kid I played with CB radios and my "handle" was "Shiloh Kid" since that's where we we had a farm in Shiloh, which is between Amite and Independence. On weekend nights my dad (a Lieutenant with the Sheriff's Office) would to take me to spot satellites with just ordinary binocualrs, for a kid it was a lot of fun.
Fast forward a few years, and now as an adult looking for a hobby and HAM radio has become an interest.
I reside in the uptown area of New Orleans, and
