President of the Ham Radio club in high school because I'm the only one that showed up on a regular basis. Got my Novice in 1990, KB2JCY. I never did anything with it and it expired in 2000.

10 years later found some friends are hams and figured I'd get back into it.

Running an Yaesu FT-857 and a small dipole stapled to the eves of my house.  It doesn't work well, but I don't do much HF.

Wires? what wires?   Before I put it on my eves, this position worked better than on the eves. I had to enhance the picture to be able to see the wires and support lines.  Stealth is the name of the game in this HOA..

Other gear:

LDG Z-100plus tuner, HRD, FLdigi

FTM-400D, FT1-DR, a gaggle of UV5Rs.

Nissan Leaf: Anytone  AT-5888uv with Diamond NR73BNMO

Grand Cherokee: FT-8800 with Diamond NR73BNMO, Byonics Micro-Trak MTT4B APRS tracker modified with bluetooth.

Mountain bike with luggage rack with NMO mount and bar mounted HT holder. Worked great for Ragnar.

I'm very active in the AZ Repeater Association.  I was elected to the board in 2015, I'm on the tech committee and also hold the Membership Chairman position.

I'm also active in Maricopa County Emergency Communication Group and have my jeep set up for emcom.

I moved out to Phoenix in 2002 from Long Island. I hated NY.

Since 2001, I've owned a software/electronics/mechanical engineering company (despite my lack of any engineering degree) doing work mostly in the performance automotive space as well as a web hosting, design and development company.
