Hello,
My name is Nestor Monllor, but my friends call me Ren.
I was licensed in 1998 as a Tech. I had purchased all Drake equipment and really got into home-brewing. I built a couple of Ten-Tecs, a tuner, a regen receiver and had strung a dipole on the roof of my QTH. Soon after we suffered a fire and lost everything.
About 4 months ago my 12 year old son Ansel asked if I would teach him Morse Code and I, of course said yes, but with the stipulation that he got his license. Well, he called me on it and now I'm studying for my General.
He just got licensed in December of 2010 and we started off with a set of RockMites. Soon afterwards my daughter Gabrielle jumped on the bandwagon and she just passed her test on 3.5.11.
I purchased a Kenwood TS-530S, which I love. My most recent purchase was one of Hendrick's Kits PFR3A, a brilliant design by Steven Weber.
I truly enjoy homebrewing, QRP (there's nothing like it in the world), and studying about antennas.
I am very active in my local radio club, the Lakeland Amature Radio Club, in Lakeland, Florida. and am a member ofNAQCC (#4880) and QRPARCI (#14308).

Aside from amature radio, I also manufacture Bamboo Fly Rods and have a complete machine shop in my home. What can I say, I love to make stuff!!!

I do QSL cards and I also log and eQSL via eqsl.cc

Hope to QSO sometime and thanks for the look-up.
Ren
