I am an amateur scientist and inventor and nothing intrigues me more than seeking the ultimate antenna designs.

Thanks for the QSO!

WATCH THE CURRENT EPISODE OF OUR HAM TV SHOW AT THE YOUTUBE LINK BELOW

  • I use an I-Com 706 mk2 G and I am portable most of the time.

My world famous 2 Meter antenna builds are shown near the bottom. I am very grateful for all contacts and wish you all 73s.

My ultimate REVISED

2 meter dream beam design. Don's (AE5UN) extreme 2 meter dream beam.

Build the 2 meter extreme dream beam- watch the video link below.

You can see me somewhere in that video.

This antenna build was featured on Ham Nation. It is truly the coolest 2 meter build it yourself

antenna you can constuct.

VISIT HTTP://EXTREMEDREAMBEAM.COM  FOR THE LATEST PLANS.

5 and 7 element version are both featured in this video.

This is a seven element version.  It doubles the cost.

It is a work of art in design. One cool 2 meter beam.

WATCH OUR NEWEST VIDEO AT THIS LINK - ON HOW TO BUILD THIS AWESOME BEAM

THIS SEVEN ELEMENT VERSION WORKS  ON 70CM ALSO HITTING REPEATERS AT 50MILES

OR MORE LOCALLY FROM A FAIRLY LOW ALTITUDE WITH A 2 WATT BAOFENG

ON THE SEVEN ELEMENT ONLY-

A sharp rise in the swr peaks is noted after 151.500.  After much debate we decided its right where it needs to be.

The driven element could be a bit longer and the lowest dip set to 148.000 but the sharp rise would more than likey occur

as shown across the band as the dips move acordingly.. As it is, it performs awesome, so no need to tinker unless you have lots of

time and a real need for a  lower SWR mid section of the band.. This swr model is for LMR400 and my unique location and design.

Every location is diffrent. Soil conditions and obstructions near the antenna can change things, so take it with a grain of salt.

THIS ANTENNA, IF PERFECTLY BUILT, SHOULD GO TOE TO TOE WITH A 13-B2. , We may test that someday.

If anyone figures out how to stack them, please let me know. HI HI.

WATCH THE FIRST BUILD WE DID HERE BELOW. WE HAVE COME A LONG WAY SINCE THEN.

Below here is the 8 Ball beam at 25 feet on a painters pole. 2 Meter/ 70 cm full wave  9dbd

The "Sky Hook" 2 meter. I designed this antenna for our echolink system here in Searcy. Very good performance. Echolink details listed below.

THE SKY HOOK.

This antenna can be put up over 50 feet on a standup pole because it has very little weight. You can't do that

with a j-pole. Very low windload and good gain.

The Sky Hook has a 1/4wave copper section on the opposite side of the J. and is reverse fed.

My own design. Lowest swr possible. Height is might on 2 meters and getting this 60 feet up is pretty easy even without a

pushup pole.

Here is my RAZORBACK SOOOOOOOWIEEEE 4:1 Windom balun design. for 80,40, 20 meters with no tuning. Not that hard to build.  Has some of the lowest swr you will find on those bands with ears like a hound dog. Folks down under will sound like they are in your backyard.

Want a 5/8 wave for your truck? It is pretty easy if you have access to an analyzer.

THE TEST TUBE ANTENNA
Shown below  is the 2 meter roll up slim jim mounted inside a bulb guard. It weights pretty much nothing and attaches with nothing more than electrical tape. Gain is the same as a regular slim jim, but mounted inside this material there is no loss of signal. Will it stand up to the elements? I don't have the greatest expectations, however that's what makes experimenting fun.
I don't care much for the pvc bow design so this was my excuse to try something different. Looks pretty clean and works great.

I am an inventor and co-developed the geotransensor earthquake predictor that is located at http://quakepredictor.net

It is a non profit scientific research study program using a unique method of predicting earthquakes up to several hours in advance with an amazing track record so far.

...

It will be soon be the standard in earthquake detection and hopefully will save many lives once fully implemented.

We currently have two sensors in operation. One sensor in Texas and one in Arkansas that is monitoring the New Madrid fault system.
