Ham Member Lookups: 2091

My first experiances with ham radio was seeing my Uncles set up and being told "DON'T MESS WITH THAT" back in the 70's. In the late 80's I used to go to a ham operator in Northern California and talk to my parents in Peru.

I  in Saltillo Mississippi. That is 90 iles southeast of Memphis, TN. and 10 miles north of Tupelo MS. Where Elvis Presley was born I got my liscense on March 5th 2016.

I started with a Baofeng uv5r-v2. My first real radio was a Icom 880h. I have now upgraded and have a Icom ID5100A. I also have a SharkRF Openspot so I don't clog up my local Dstar Repeaters.

I chose Dstar as a radio because of a recomendation and enjoy it so far.

I am a Commercial Photographer by trade but am a farmer at heart. I commercially grow veggies (tomatoes, squash, green beaans) as a hobby. I LOVE to cook and have gotten pretty darn good at it over the last couple of years. I guess my best cooking comes from my grill abd smoker.
