I'm a recruit of Kelly (KD7ALF no KG7VG), newly licensed Technician since 8/25/2015 and currently working to get my General by the end of September.

I'm still getting my feet wet, so I'm mobile and portable until I advance my license and get some more Elmering from the people I am listening to and learning from.  As for my interests I'm still working repeaters in my local area, working my SDR, and looking at the many Raspberry Pi projects, Echolink and IRLP.  I'm debating building my own repeater so that I can learn more by 'doing'.

I currently am running an Icom ID-880H  that bounces between cars now, a Kenwood TM-V71A in my Van (Daily Driver), and collecting dust are my (2) Dual Band Wouxun KG-UV8D, and a Baofang UV-5R and my Kenwood TM-D710A.  I've also built my own Simplex PiRLP connected to a TYT TH-9000D 220mhz link radio (IRLP# 7803) using my Kenwood TH-F6, also a Nano-Node (IRLP# 7096) that I have up at my work QTH.

My latest toys are a TYT MD-380 DMR radio (DMR ID# 3153120) , and an ICOM ID-51A.

I'm a Systems Design specialist in my current phase of life, however I am formally trained as a Firefighter and did do so in Eastern Washington for a little over 10 years.

We are a real life Brady Bunch as I'm a father of four engaged to a mother of two.

My 6-Pak.
