Received technician license in August, 2015. Passed the general exam on Halloween and the extra two weeks later.

SKCC #14714.

Well it's been a year now. I guess it's time for an update.

My main rig is an Icom 7410. I also use some Heathkit gear; a HW-16 & a SB-101.

I started out with a 5-band trap loaded vertical. After burying 750 feet (total) of radials this turned out to be an excellent antenna. Still using it.

With less then two months in the hobby I moved up to a 80 meter loop with a MFJ tuner. Agn, an excellent antenna. Still using it.

Just two days ago (Sep 12th, 2016) I put a hex beam on the air. 6 bands; up about 40 ft.

CW is still my mode of choice. I love to send and receive QSL cards. I keep a paper log. There are no

 computers in my shack.

September 11, 2017:

Just beginning my third year as an amateur. A little more about myself...first licensed in the late 70's as WB7NII. Like so many others, life got in the way. Family, career, education etc.

Spent 10 years as a municipal police officer followed by 30 years with the post office. After retirement I came back to ham radio. My, how things have changed.

I still work virtually all CW. Approaching 15 WPM. If we've spoken before, Tnx. And it would be a pleasure to speak again.
