Ham Member Lookups: 2432

Hi from Colorful Colorado: I have been a ham off and on since 1976. My primary interests are QRP and chasing DX with 10 watts or less. I really enjoy setting up portable QRP operations. Do run some QRO and actually own an Amplifier but it is in storage, I might add that my pet peve is Amplifiers being used when not needed. My wife also holds a ticket and her call is KBOQFY, A list of QRP gear currently in use is as follows, Heath HW7, Heath HW8, Homebrewed QRP station console, Kenwood TS 130V, MFJ 9420, MFJ 9440, MFJ 971 Tuner,  and various pieces of QRP support equipment. My QRO gear is as follows, Kenwood ts 450SAT, Icom 706 Mk2G, and a really nice Kenwood 530SP. I have gone to Wire antennas and they are currently 40 meter Carolina Windom, A 80 Carolina Windom, A 80 meter Zepp, and soon I will put up my 40+ year old Hustler 5 BTV that I bought in the early 70's, The Carolina Windoms have really impressed me and consider them one of the best wire Antennas for the average ham, I plan on doing alot of SOTA Hamming this summer so look for me and maybe we can work each other from some summit in Colorado. 73 Jim/ KI0AD
