I had an affinity for radio since my first pair of walkie talkies when I was about 7 or so.  Later, my dad and I were listening to an old console radio that he had from just prior to WW2. I lugged it upstairs to my back room and that is where I listened to it for many hours a day, tuning in Shortwave and booming voices of people just chatting on the radio. I was about 10. That sparked the interest in ham radio. Later, on my paper route, I had a ham that spent untold hours with me permitting me to explore the world of Ham Radio. I was an early CB'er working third party on my moms license that she got just for me. Still, to this day, almost any time I sit at a rig, I think of the times my father and I would sit and listen to those people chatting.

I first was licensed in 1981 with novice call KB4BPP.  Soon thereafter I was licensed to General class with the call sign N4IEP.  Later I passed my Advanced license test for my current call of KI4FH.  Was on and off for several years.  Active during 1996-2001 then off until the '04-05 hurricane season here in Florida when I was very active.  Things changed up in 2003, left the road as a stand-up comic when I came to know Jesus as my Lord and Savior.  I returned to the air with my 2nd Collins setup in 2010. It is good to be back I enjoy contesting and spend quite a bit of time on 40 meters CW.  My SKCC Number is 14356.
