Ham Member Lookups: 660

My name is Mario and I'm an engineer that started his career 25 years ago in Firmware and Software in San Diego, California. I have been a ham since 2009. My passions besides ham radio extend to motorcycle riding, powerlifting, techincal scuba-diving including cave diving and hiking. A previous stint at Intel in DuPont, WA brought me to the Washington State area where I still reside today. I work in Engineering for a global power systems company located next to Boeing at Paine Field.

Lately I have been getting into Kayak Sailing using the KUVIA Kayaksailor.com sail.

I have acomplished a minor San Juan Islands tour using my new sail...

You can find me traversing most of the Everett repeaters on most days and weekends. I can be found on Mt. Pilchuck Repeater 146.920, WinSystem, W7FLY, WA7HJR on Tiger Mtn., W7ERH Snohomish and others. I also have been getting into Echolink lately and love all the digital options such as APRS, DPRS and DSTAR on the digital repeaters around Seattle area. I have acquired an DSTAR ICOM ID-5100A as my mobile and base station.

I use a Linux based DVAP DSTAR dongle hooked into my cellular phone WIFI. I also own a few handhelds, ICOM ID-51A Plus, the Yaesu VX-8DR and Kenwood F6A.

In the past I have also owned an Kenwood TS-2000X and ICOM IC7000.

I really love my new ID-5100A because of the DSTAR feature and versatility it offers. I may also look into the ICOM ID-7100. Time will tell...You can send me inquiries at my e-mail box: dreamsmatrix@gmail.com
