My name is Tim Webb and I have been an Amateur "Ham" Radio operator since the mid 80's.  I have operated many modes and have many more to try. Like most Hams I like to experiment with different radios, antennas, and modes.  For VHF/UHF in the shack I use a Kenwood TM-271A & Alinco DR-135 for 2 meter ops,  Alinco DR-235 220, and a Motorola Radius for 70cm.

When mobile I operate a Yaesu FT-7800 2 meter / 70 cm radio and diamond antenna also an Alinco DR-235 220 radio. For portable operation I use a Yaesu VX-5 6 meter / 2 meter / 70 cm, Yaesu FT-60 2 meter / 70cm, Tytera MD-380 UHF DMR, Alinco DJ-296 220MHz HT and several Wouxum 2mtr/220 2mtr/440 HTs.

224.960/R (T 203.5) on top of Pine Mountain outside of Whitesburg in Letcher County. Ground elevation is around 2800 feet and the antenna is 200 feet up the tower, fed with 1 5/8 inch Andrews feedline. The repeater is an Icom RP-2210, duplexer is a Telewave TPRD-2254. The controller is an NHRC - 4. Port 2 has a Motorola Radius UHF radio modified for remote base operation. The repeater is linked to my 444.250/R (Tsq 107.2) located on Black Mountain the highest point in Kentucky. The 8 bay exposed dipole antenna is side mounted at the 160' level on the 170' tower. Total elevation 4,265'. The repeater is a GE Mastr II, controller Arcom RC210, DB products 4 can duplexer, I have a VHF GE Mastr II repeater ready to go up on Sand Hill on the Harlan/Letcher County line. The frequency is coordinated with http://www.sera.org 146.760/R (Tsq 103.5), controller CAT-200B, I will soon be adding a Yaesu System Fusion repeater modified with the MMDVM, RPi, and Arduino to run DMR, YSF, DStar, and P25.
