Hello. Welcome to my profile. I am a relatively new amateur radio operator (getting my technicians license in February 2014, and general license in April 2014). I passed my Extra Class exam second week in June 2014.

My HF rig is a Yaesu FT-450D, running 100W on an Alpha Delta DX-CC at approximately 33 feet high.

I also have built an Ulitmate 3 WSPR kit, and you may spot my 200mW WSPR signal on 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, or 80 meter WSPR frequencies. The kit is sweet, very affordable, and even can hook up to a GPS to fetch time, and use the Pulse Per Second signal to help calibration.

Some folks have inquired about the photo above. I was sitting for the last time in the Space Shuttle Discovery, before it went off to the Smithsonian in Washington DC. If you look carefully, there are printed replicas of the displays taped on the instruments, as most of the electronics as well as hazardous components were removed prior to leaving NASA. This was the only time in my 20+ years working for NASA that I was allowed in my plain clothes in the Shuttle. Usually I must wear a "Bunny Suit" around Flight Hardware.
