Hi Folks, call me kevin in contacts(my middle name). I am a 54 year old ham returnee, back on the air with a new callsign. Here in Santa Rosa, the famous Whine country on the coast north of San Francisco. I live here with my wife, a ten year old son and a Rhodesian Ridgeback Hound dog. We are an outdoor family, Hunting, fishing and hiking. I have a 45 foot Wilson tubular tower supporting a TH3 Mk3 "Thunderbird" and a shortened G5RV for 80 and 40 meters. Main transceiver is a Yaesu FTDX 1200 exciting a Yaesu FL 2100 B amplifier that still has some issues on everything but 10 and 15 meters.  I also ues an Icom IC-2KL in the other pic, as the yaesu seems to enjoy the  repair bench! We spend a lot of time in the more remote backcountry parts of the state. two years ago I outfitted my offroad Tacoma with an Alinco DX 70 feeding an Alpine screwdriver so onward we go! Here are two field day pic's from a favorite spot 11,700 feet above sea level that is accessable via a highly technical 4X trail. Top is field day 2016 and lower is 2015. One cannot get that much higher in california by 4WD rock machine. On 2 meters and 70 CM I enjoy the WIN and  Carla systems as they have great coverage into such places. I am also a pilot, so naturally I install and service Avionics at my small shop at Sonoma County Airport. I am restoring a 1962 Piper comanche 250 that will have 2 meter and hf capability when completed. 73 Y'All from Kevin
