I was first licensed as a Technician in Canyonville, Oregon in 1984 shortly after the VE program began.  I worked lots of CW for a year, on an old Drake TR-4 and upgraded to Advanced in Salem, and the next month I made Extra and got the call NR7L.

I moved to Alaska in 1987, and changed calls to AL7KB, then later to AL7Y.  I had been trying to get a KL7 2 X 1 for a long time and finally got it in October 2010, KL7V.

I work as a Telecommunications Technician for AT&T Alaska (formerly Alascom) on Satellite Earth Stations primarily, Microwave Radio, etc. in Northern and Eastern mainland Alaska.
