Ham Member Lookups: 77

My name is Jake May. I earned my ham radio license in January 2015. I live in Norcross, a northern suburb of Atlanta.

I am a proud member of the Mill Springs Academy radio club (WA4MSA, formerly KK4OVR). Mill Springs had an ARISS contact in September 2013.

I am also a proud member of NFARL, or the North Fulton Amateur Radio League. I have worked with many great mentors in my time in NFARL, including Jim W4QO, Chuck AE4CW, John K4SQC, and Mike AD4MC.

I have attended a few ham events in GA including the Atlanta Science Festival and the Atlanta Maker Faire.

In ham radio, I have attended events for the Youth Net, Arduino, and CW.

The Youth Net, sponsored by the Mill Springs Academy Amateur Radio Club and the North Fulton Amateur Radio League, is for young hams, young people interested in Amateur Radio, and teachers who work with such students.  It runs from 7 to 8 PM Eastern Wednesday evenings on the 145.47 NF4GA repeater on Sweat Mountain.  It is available on Echolink node 560686.  You can also join us on the concurrent chat room at www.nfarl.dodropin.org.  You don’t need a call sign to check in to the chat room.

Thanks for reading,
