Enjoying the hobby, more so after finaly being able to make contacts! The photo is my modest "shack" with my gear getting ready to hopefuly participate some in Field Day 2016! The big flashlight looking thing is actualy a Celestron "power tank" for powering my Celestron telescope, but with the addition of a set of leads with Anderson power pole connectors can also power the Yaesu FT 817nd if need be.
This is my field day shoulder pack thus far. What's inside?? More to come, but the small pack on the front is a first aid kit. Safety first!
The radios. Yaesu FT 817nd and Icom ID-51A handheld.
My power sources. I still need an extra battery and car charger for my handheld. The lead acid battery is 10 amp hours. I also have the "power tank" which has a 4 amp hour battery, but it doesn't go IN the pack!
Miscelaneous stuff....don't worry, the duct tape is ALWAYS in my vehicle!
Paperwork. Gotta have paperwork!
Waiting for my EchLink validation! :)
