http://kr8u.blogspot.com Formerly KB8SOJ got the vanity KR8U for breaking through the pileup and contesting. For some reason some stations could not get the longer call correctly. Passed the 13 and the 20 wpm code test on the same day but I guess that no longer matters. I used to be in the Michigan Army MARS program AAT5BG but work and family made it too difficult to keep up with the responsibility and I felt I was not serving well enough so I had to let that go. The picture of me and the station are old. At least 7 years or so. The picture of the tower and antenna's are a bit newer. Top of tower is a Comet GP-15, 6M, 2M, and 70cm. Next lowest is a Cushcraft A27010S 2M, 70cm vertical yagi. Then there is the Tri band 10M, 15M 20M beam that I can't remember the make. Next is a home brew 33cm  10 element Quagi pointed to the South South East toward  one of the only other people in my area on 900MHz.Update: The homebrew antenna for 900 has been changed to a smaller comercial 6 element yagi. Lowest off the side of the tower supported by a 2x4 bolted to the tower is my inverted V antenna at about 45 feet apex fed with ladder line with the ends at about 20 feet. Ends are pointed North and South. When I feel the need and the kids are not playing in the back yard I can put up the AV-18VS Hygain Vertical. Rigs are Icom  IC-7100 DStar, Icom ID-5100 DStar in the mobile, Kenwood TM733A 2M/70cm , Kenwood TM731A 2M/70cm and Alinco ALR 72T 70cm mobile radios in the house. Icom IC-729 on HF and 6M with a Ten-Tec Argonaut 505 I Gave the 505 to my cousin KD8GZG. An SW-40 for QRP. Two Motorola GTX mobiles for 927. Motorola GTX HT on 927. Motorola Maxtrac on 927. Motorola Spectra on VHF. Various Yaesu and alinco HT's on VHF and UHF also the TYT MD380 for DMR. Hope to work you on the air sometime.                              Here I am changing the lights on the N8GH repeater tower .
