I got my ham ticket in December 2015. I live on a farm in rural Aquadale, North Carolina about 30 miles east of Charlotte. I am a member of the Stanly County Amateur Radio Club where I have several elmers in various aspects of the hobby. I enjoy participating in local VHF and regional HF nets. I am exploring packet, DStar, Winmor and HF digital modes. I love ham radio because there are so many different aspects to learn and explore. I teach college chemistry fulltime and stay busy in off hours with community service events, passing traffic and Skywarn/weather. Pictured are the masts of my Carolina Windom proudly flying US and WVU colors. I don't have tall trees at my home so I built poles instead. Often when I am on the radio you may hear one of my girls pictured below in the background.
